What to Expect:
A detailed history and full assessment of both mom and baby will be obtained. Expect a 60-90 minute session for feeding evaluations. A pre and post weight of your baby will be obtained during a feeding evaluation, so bring your baby ready to feed. Your provider and lactation consultant will provide support and education to help you meet your goals. Expect a follow up phone call in approximately 1 week from our lactation consultant to see how you are doing.
Please notify your child’s pediatrician, as well as your obstetrician/midwife, that you have an appointment with us. We will be sending them a detailed encounter of our visit to help coordinate care for you and your baby.
Preparing for your visit:
Bring baby hungry and ready for a feeding. Bring pump and pump parts, billow/pillow, pumped milk (if available). Also, bring photo id, insurance card for you and your baby, and co-pay if applicable.
It is helpful to click check in after you've registered on the patient portal. You can then complete your medical history prior to your visit. This can be completed in the office if necessary.
The Breastfeeding Center will be following CDC guidelines that recommend health care personnel wear masks. Our Providers and Lactation Consultants will wear masks at all times and have temperature checks upon arrival to the office.
We require that all patients and support members wear a mask.
Expect a temperature check prior to your visit and Covid-19 screening questions. We ask that anyone with a fever, cough, or shortness of breath notify us to reschedule their appointment.
